Crashing into Summer

Today was the first day of Little Miss’ first summer vacation. She succeeded in splitting her lip open before 9am at the grocery store. Jumping up and down while pushing the cart. Then tonight we went for a bike ride together which ended quickly in a big crash. Good thing we bought new princess band aids two weeks ago.

I think the summer is going to fly by, and I hope to enjoy each day. I will try to keep a short record of our days here.

I made a great discovery on my bookshelf this evening, a set of five Newberry Award winning books. I think I picked them up years ago at a Yard Sale…so we may start into these this summer too.

It has: A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle, The Twenty-One Balloons by William Pene Du Bois, Strawberry Girl by Lois Lenski, Rabbit Hill by Robert Lawson and Rollar Skates by Ruth Sawyer.
