Friday Photo Drop

A special treat for mother’s day was an ipod touch. Somedays the Canon stays packed up and now I take a few quick shots with the ipod.

Methotrexate to Enbrel

So after moving up to methotrexate injects for the past month - they did not slow down the arthritis at all. So in a few weeks I will begin my first biologic - Enbrel. Awaiting my final TB test and chest X-ray. I have mixed feelings about this - I have been awaiting this change for along time. My hope is that by the summer I will be mobile. Bike rides with the kids and playing on the beach. I want to be active and not worry that one busy day is going to send me to the couch for three. I know there are other Moms with RA and PsA out there. How did you feel about moving onto a biologic? How quickly did you see results?

O’Keeffe Day

We had a Mom & Little Miss day. Managed to clean, cook, paint and go skating! We both did paintings and learned about Georgia O’Keeffe. Little Miss is holding mine! (mine is unfinished)

Finish that Expression!

After seeing these expressions floating around Facebook that a grade one class finished, I thought I would try a few with the Little Miss.

Here are her answers:
Don't change horses or you'll forget which horse is yours
It's always darkest before morning
You can lead a horse to water but make sure you horse doesn't run away
Don't bite the hand that you hold your paper with
No news is nothing.
A miss is as good as a mouse.
You can't teach an old dog new things.
Love all, Trust me.
Then pen is mightier than the paper.
A penny save is four dollars
Don't put off till tomorrow what you have to do
Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and go on time out
If at first you don't succeed find someone else to help you or ask your mom
You get out of something only what you do
When the blind lead the blind the blind person will fall and get hurt
A bird in the hand will pick you
